Dive into the Future of San Francisco’s Waterfront! Join us for an engaging exhibit tour and presentation as we unveil Watermarks, a new interactive exhibition at the SPUR Urban Center — celebrating Earth Month and SF Climate Week!

Watermarks invites visitors to explore the past, present, and future of San Francisco’s waterfront and the city’s changing relationship with water. Learn about what action City agencies are taking to address sea level rise and flood risks, how local designers are responding to site scale and community adaptation needs, and meet an artist and educator exploring questions about how we can learn from the past to adapt to present and future needs.

Speakers:
Sarah Atkinson, Hazard Resilience Sr. Policy Manager at SPUR (exhibit curator)
Gabriel Tenaya Kaprielian, Assistant Professor in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Cal Poly. Director of Design and Innovation for Sustainable Cities (DISC) in the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley (exhibit curator)
Luiz Barata, Sr. Planner / Urban Designer, Waterfront Resilience Program, Port of San Francisco

Following this tour will be the Exhibition's opening reception from 5:30-7:00 PM, open to the public, with drinks and small bites from a local vendor.
