Join us for a screening of Saving 4 Seconds, a documentary that follows the successful, decades-long effort to build a suicide barrier on the Golden Gate Bridge. The film tells the story through the voices of local families, advocates, and Bay Area elected officials who tirelessly pushed for this life-saving public policy — and the many hurdles they faced along the way. It also features never-before-seen CCTV footage of bridge employees intervening to save the lives of strangers, highlighting the unsung heroes who patrol the bridge every day.
Saving 4 Seconds offers a behind-the-scenes look at the policy decisions that transformed a Bay Area icon while telling a powerful story about citizens and policymakers coming together to create meaningful change.
