The 2026 election will shape San Francisco’s future through a wide range of local and regional ballot measures, from housing and transportation to government reform and public finance. Join SPUR for an in-depth conversation about what happened at the ballot box and what the results mean for the city’s future.

What was voter turnout like in San Francisco? Which measures passed, and which fell short? What trends emerged in voter sentiment? And what do the election results reveal about San Franciscans’ priorities on issues such as housing, transit, affordability, and effective government?

As part of SPUR’s long-standing post-election tradition, we will bring together political analysts and civic leaders to unpack the results, explore the broader implications for public policy, and discuss what comes next for San Francisco.

Speakers:

  • Ruth Bernstein / President, EMC Research
  • Aaron Peskin / Former President, San Francisco Board of Supervisors
  • Sean Elsbernd / President and CEO, SPUR
