People have begun returning to in-person work in San Francisco’s economic core — the Financial District, East Cut, Union Square, Yerba Buena, Embarcadero, Market Street and Mission Bay — reaffirming the importance of these neighborhoods as a critical economic driver for both the city and the region. While this return represents a significant collective investment in San Francisco's economic recovery, it is just a first step. In the existing post-pandemic landscape there has arisen a profound need to re-articulate the value proposition of the city's economic core to employers, employees, residents and visitors. This will require a new level of collaboration between public and private-sector stakeholders to seize opportunities and overcome extant challenges. Join us to hear how a nascent cross-sector partnership will set the foundation for a more robust and vibrant future for San Francisco's downtown.
