Double Up Food Bucks California, a nutrition incentive program that SPUR has managed since 2017, has helped tens of thousands of people in the Bay Area overcome that obstacle. Double Up is now in the process of transitioning to a new chapter as many participating stores join the California Fruit and Veggie EBT Pilot, a program fully integrated into the California EBT System. The pilot is refining a scalable model for increasing the purchase and consumption of California-grown fruits and vegetables.
