DESCRIPTION: First funded in last year’s state budget, the California Department of Housing and Community Development’s new Housing Accountability Unit (HAU) has hit the ground running and is garnering lots of attention. The central purpose and function of the HAU is to provide technical assistance and guidance to jurisdictions across the state with regard to implementation and application of California’s housing laws and, when necessary, to engage in enforcement, including the administration of punitive actions against those towns, cities and counties that flout state statutes. Join us for a conversation with some of the unit’s leaders to hear what they’ve accomplished so far and what work they still have ahead.\n\nFor details, click here: https://spur.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com/component/events/event/50
